The Sacred Medicine Wheel Weekend of August 23rd & 24th in Chesterfield Mass.

I feel very blessed that I have the opportunity the share the teachings of the sacred medicine wheel in my home with all of you

Some form of the Sacred Medicine Wheel is found within most of the tribes on Turtle Island. Although many of the elements of the medicine wheel differ from tribe to tribe the inner meetings are shared by nearly every tribe to Native Americans life is viewed not as an ascent or decline nor as a straight line, to them life is a journey and that journey is a circle or a wheel.

The medicine wheel can be called the Circle of Law. In this form the Sacred Medicine Wheel is a representation of life’s journey. It is a map of the brain as well as the heart, and it is considered a natural part of the human psyche.

The Medicine Wheel is a practical system for maintaining a balance of power among all tribal peoples. It was the knowledge that no one lodge, no one tribe, could hold all the power which kept native people living in harmony here on Turtle Island for thousands of years before the coming of the White Man. When this nation was formed, the Six Iroquois Nations taught the Wheel to our Founding Fathers, mostly notably Thomas Jefferson, and it is upon these teachings that our government system of checks and balances are originally based.

Among the Elders of the tribes, the term “medicine” does not refer to healing. It means “wisdom”. To walk the Wheel is to view life from many perspectives. On that journey towards wisdom is found wholeness and within that wholeness, the meaning of life.

This is what I will share with you all:

*Walking The Wheel: Life Cycles: The Circle of Law, Walking The Wheel, The Council Lodges, The Four Directions, The Path of Inquiry, The Path of Healing, and lastly, the biggest one that to me brings healing….The Addiction Wheel. We will have in-depth hand outs and a sacred alter to hold space for our personal healing.
